Evening Eclectica 4: Revolution In Yo' Body

Evening Eclectica 4: Revolution In Yo' Body

Shoutout to my favorite Sidereal astrologer, The People's Oracle, for coining this phrase: "Revolution begins in the body." This was the theme of last night's Evening Eclectica. Every time you prioritize your gut health, the clarity of your intuition, the accurate naming of your experiences as a marginalized person, you take a revolutionary act against fascism.

These are the songs I curated with this intention:

  1. “Stepping Into Tomorrow” - Donald Byrd
  2. “Dream Big” - Bob Vylan
  3. “The Ghost of Tom Joad” - Rage Against The Machine
  4. “The Deep” - clipping.
  5. “Do Pyaar - From Jungle” - Sonu Nigam
  6. “Surrender” - Kut Klose
  7. “III. Follow” - Owen Thiele x Zack Sekoff
  8. “Livin’ Loose” - George Clanton
  9. “Soft Music Under the Stars” - Fila Brazillia

I wanted to evoke a sense of visioning the future we're fighting for, evoke feelings of determination mixed with desire and love, to remind us that we are not machines. We are soft flesh, and blood, and love.

As always, you can spin these tunes anytime on Spotify by following the official playlist. But if you want to hear these specific songs in this specific order, hit play before August 18th, when the new tracklist will be revealed. We're now streaming every third Monday evening, on the Creew Discord and Instagram Live.

Make sure you're on my email list - I'm always sending reminders, and the link to sign up for the Discord to join us.
