Evening Eclectica 5: For The Lover In You
By Alexandria Boddie

America is a garbage fire. There. I said it. It can feel overwhelming sometimes, trying to escape survival mode while our government goes mask-off with the intentions they had along. But we have to keep going. What comforts me, oddly enough, is history: this too shall pass, and we know exactly how, and we can prepare now by being about the work of creating the better future we want to step into when this is over. For me personally, it comes down to this: who/what/where do I love? It got me reminiscing of my carefree passionate lovergirl days. Those memories inspired last night's Evening Eclectica. This iteration of the playlist is the hug that I needed, and I hope you feel hugged and loved by me when you listen to:
- “Opus No. 1” - Tim Carleton
- “Before Today - Chicane Remix” - Everything But The Girl
- “Just Call Me Joe” - Sinead O’Connor
- “Pye Sou Kou” - Charlin Bato
- “Unplugged” - Le$
- “Cherish” - The Association
- “Sister Do You Know My Name?”
- “You and Me” - Penny and the Quarters
- “Blue Skies” - Doc Scott
Like I said last month: we are soft flesh, and blood, and love, and desire. Hold it close.
As always, you can spin these tunes anytime on Spotify by following the official playlist. But if you want to hear these specific songs in this specific order, hit play before September 22nd, when the new tracklist will be revealed. We're streaming every third Monday evening, on the Creew Discord and Instagram Live.
Make sure you're on my email list - I'm always sending reminders, and the link to sign up for the Discord to join us.
