Evening Eclectica 6: Metabolizing Rage.
By Alexandria Boddie

sigh
I make no secret of the fact that deep inside me is a judgmental uncharitable raging fkn cvnt who craves violence constantly. It's part of my shadow work. Too bad American caucasians refuse to do the same. Whites gonna white. Meanwhile, I've got family to see, a community to serve, truth to tell, and tunes to spin. It's important to acknowledge these feelings rising up inside us, and to metabolize them. The sooner you do that, the sooner you can get to peace.
I curated this month's playlist for Creew with the sole intention of nervous system regulation and inspiring care and love:
- “Opus No. 1” - Tim Carleton
- “Tenha Fè” - Os Originais Do Samba
- “Funny” - Mr. Dé
- “Modular Mix” - Air
- “Blue Skies” - Doc Scott
- “Dreams” - Timecop1983 featuring Dana Jean Phoenix
- “Breathe” - Telepopmusik
- “Private Life” - Grace Jones
- “From The Sea/It Looms” - Leon Vynehall
Create a bedtime ritual devoid of a phone screen. Light a scented candle. Do some facial massage. Turn down the lights. Tell someone you love them. Play this on a low volume as you read yourself to sleep.
As always, you can spin these tunes anytime on Spotify by following the official playlist. But if you want to hear these specific songs in this specific order, hit play before October 20th, when the new tracklist will be revealed. We're streaming every third Monday evening, on the Creew Discord and Instagram Live.
Make sure you're on my email list - I'm always sending reminders, and the link to sign up for the Discord to join us.
